I Would Do It All Over Again.

The cold chewed through
my sweater and coat
as I unclenched my arms
to reach up
and hug you.
your shoulder was warm
as well as your breath
in my ear
while you whispered 'I'm sorry'.
I let go of you
something I do regret.
Although your touch would hurt
and your kiss may kill me
I would do it all over again.

I truly enjoyed reading this poem and I could relate. I would too. But the question in my head is why! !
'the cold chewed through' great form of imagery. And i know exactly how you feel in this poem. Ray-
