If I Didn’t

If I didn’t laugh I’d cry,
If I didn’t smile I’d be lost,
If I wasn’t strong I’d be weak,
If I didn’t let you go I’d never know.
If I didn’t lose I’d never win,
If I didn’t feel this hurt I’d never know.
Not knowing is the key,
If I could turn back the hands of time I’d lose.
Life plays along on a learning curve,
If I had all my cards in front of me, I’d bottle.
Knowing I’d lost before I even played.
