Anyone But You?

Poem By Michael P. McParland

If I write you a poem, will your heart melt?
To tell you all the feelings that I felt
while lying in your arms under the covers
no one will ever know that you are my magnificent lover
It is something kept secret in my heart at night
Going to bed with dreams that I hold so tight
dreams that keep me happy throughout my life
and the dream of wanting to be your wife

I love your poetry! It is simplified with a song from your feelings.
Your poem is a comfort to those who love and write poems. Thank you for your lovely comments.
My heart melted when reading your lovely poem, for a flower to give it’s scent is to pen her heart...just a wonderful moment, I do love the essence of your poetry..with your words I feel your touch...and that is a special place in poetry
A romantic write I loved reading it.
