The Apple Of God's Eye

You and I are the apple of God's eye.
He treasures each of us and that's no lie.
He loves us so much that it nearly makes him burst.
He gives us the strength to go on when things are going the worst.

God is a big part of my life and that makes me truly blessed.
He will make your life wonderful because he is the best.
If you're thinking about giving up, please remember that God believes in you.
He knows that we are very special and that's most certainly true.

It is stunning... like the poet is speaking directly to me and I'm blushing... Neruda lives...
Wow. Wow. Wow. (and for the record, I don't 'wow' lightly) Good grief, this is absolutely exquisite! From your glorious opening forward, you had this reader utterly rapt. There are so many wonderful lines in this piece, I don't even know where to begin. Everything - from tone and essence, to structure and word choice - is dead on here. This is nothing short of a remarkable accomplishment. And this - THIS is precisely the kind of poetry that I ache to find amid the rubble. How completely thrilled I am to have found this! You impress me, poet. You absolutely do. Christine
