Ill Intent

Poem By T.C. Nyxx

When you were right,
And I was wrong,
I laid down weak,
While you stood strong,
When I was crushed,
Against the Wind,
You never swayed,
Never gave in,

You were so perfect,
They could never know,
This perfect act,
Was just a show,
How could they guess?
You beat your wife,
After she tucked in,
Your kids’ goodnight,

Your conscience screamed inside,
So in a swarm of pills,
You took your life,
Some were sad,
Some were relieved,
They smiled inside,
And pretended to grieve.
