In Different Moods
Poem By Anji Carter
Indifferent moods, with ranged perspective,
Rearranged and strange, deranged, deflective angles of light,
With colours altered.
Eyes can see, but mind has faltered.
Was there a face in fantasy whose colours matched what your eyes now see?
Imaginary imagery has you confused?
Tones of purples, greens and blues, awaken minds at last, from slumber?
Perhaps in time there will be other discordant chimes
To make your sleeping eyes and mind awake,
Apart from mine.
Conception, if the mind is able, of dreams as reams of untold fables.
Colours as letters, are alphabetic, paintings as stories, all prophetic.
Buried in subconscious litter of civilisations tawdry glitter,
Beckons to you through narrowed eyes…a light!
That never yet has shone so bright.
Would try to lead the wise one onward.
Have you such courage, then go forward?
Open your eyes to new dimensions.
Free your minds from colour restrictions,
Heal your souls of perspective addictions.
Then follow me…
…for I'm the ‘Pied Piper' of Fantasy!
