In Fits

Mine!
Even in the giving of it,
None left I can say...
Remains to exist.

Mine!
There was a time,
I could declare my share.
With boundaries surrounding...
To make others aware.

Mine!
Now distributed.
Now redefined.
Now diluted...
With a feeling I've been out foxed.
And boxed into a consciousness...
Tricked and beatened.
Mugged by thugs of all kinds.
In these crooked times.

And realizing what I thought had been mine...
Isn't!
As I observe those who felt like I did,
Going out of their minds.
In fits!
While the government uses 'that'.
As a means to collect more taxes,
To further distract!
