The Ghost With The Pretty Face

During unaccounted moments
When I let my mind wander to wherever it wishes to go
Your ghost with a pretty face
Comes knocking at the door.

The lips that curved, the eyes that smiled
The heart that held a thousand sighs,

During unaccounted moments
When your ghost passes by
I simply look up to the stars
And let memories flood my sky.

I'm confused by 'I am not what I see, And other than the things I touch.' Does he mean: I am not what I see, and I am other than the things I touch, or, I am not what I see, and I am not other than the things I touch. The first is more probable, but the anti-logic of the second appeals. Was he aware of the dual possibilities?
