In Quiet Solitude
In quiet solitude I walk through fields of wisdom
Time & tide and out of season the hitchhiker stood by
The side of the road and raised his thumb as if planning
An act of treason.
Purple reign for which the night unfold
Children scream and pout for an amber pale ghost
Desolation which makes me write
My heart & soul gives life
Quiet mornings in ancient Greece
Soft fire by the moonlight
Within the confined cage of a massive beast
Film spectators are quiet vampires
Who seek shelter inside a dark theatre
And engage in soulful conversation with first rate actors.
