In Solitude

Poem By Resurreccion Banzon Aspiras

Somewhere in the fathom of your reverie,
The deafening sound of silence is creeping into darkness
Like a phantom wanting to see the light
Of love..of God,
Locked and chained...
Of memories gone by, trying to seek the truth of justice sublime.
In your womanhood when happiness is tied,
Your wounded heart cried in pain...
Caring for someone to watch, to love and
To give for that happiness ungained...
In your prime of life, where beauty
And hope are attained...
Thinking in solitude, perplexed and unmoved.

Winter

Raindrops falling on a winter night...
Tip, tap...tip, tap...
Feeling the silence, the peace and the cool breeze...
And the love of one's warm embrace.
