In The Summer

In the summer
I stretch out on the shore
And think of you
Had I told the sea
What I felt for you,
It would have left its shores,
Its shells,
Its fish,
And followed me.

Brilliant write in its simplicity. The power of love has been captured so beautifully. Superb imagery.
Nice.Had I told the sea what I felt for would have followed me. very good
To picture the ocean leaving its bed and walking behind the love-struck poet, as a poodle would trot behind its master, is a ridiculous image
lovely in its simplicity, but huge in its hyperbole. -gk
Lovely romantic musings in the backdrop of a soothing sea-shore scene. Thanks, Nizar.
