In This Mind

Poem By Susan Davis

Pick a tulip
Wish on a star
Close those eyes
Feel the scar.

Whispers on the wind
Regret in your heart
Colors begin to fuse
Life is a piece of art.

Raise up your arms
Give in to the whim
Laugh and sneer
See the light grow dim.

Coarse is the touch
Strong is your grip
Lines in the sky
Sensing reality slip.

Riding the wave
Scratch the skin
Melancholy smiles
The state your in.

Comments about In This Mind

I don't advise you to read more poetry, or to take anyone's advise, because you write beautifully and your work seems completely unadultered by any style or influence except your own which makes an original
