Innocence

Nine months of hope
Nine months of beauty
Nine months of being a baby
Whose life was never meant to be
The same as for you and for me
A life lost in the dark
And a million questions
Of why we live and die
When the sunshines and the clouds sail by
Through an ever changing sky
And people laugh and cry
With happiness and despair
It's all not fair?
Now innocence has gone.

A heartbreaking situation where no words are of comfort for the suffering. A sad poem that had me reflecting on some of my nursing experiences.
A life lost in the dark And a million questions Of why we live and die t's all not fair? Now innocence has gone. A beautiful poem full of worth in its sense Thinking of the lives lost in the dark. Innocence. Dear Poet.. this is marvellous. We should write more and more about it. thank you. tony
