No other time
Are leaves so colorful
As breezes threaten their demise.
Yellow pumpkins signal,
Grapes of blue, Herald harvest time.
Patient Chrysanthemums
Flaunt reddish hues,
Boast of gold through browns.
Gentian violets, detesting extremes,
Welcome Autumn, Submit to terms.
Reluctantly yielding petals,
Fragnant roses linger on.
Between heat of summer
And threat of cold
Is a pleasant interlude.
