Into The Abyss

Poem By Seemeen Khan Yousufzai

There are deep abysses
In my mind.
Each abyss filled with
A whirlpool of thoughts, memories and senses;
Each abyss actively reliving
The whirlpool of thoughts, memories and senses.
I sometimes fear,
Sometimes long
For that day to come
When I might stumble and fall
Into one of the recesses of my mind
And get pulled and lost
In the quagmire of my mind.

In the sea of sands
A soothing lazy breeze
Plays with a sandy-hued lock of hair

Just pause this scene,
