Intruder

The winter pushed in, to my door,
Freezing cold penetrated to my toes,
Crept up...
To the shin, thighs, belly,
In the heart it froze as a heavy stone.
In my loneliness, I cried,
Where are you?
But only reverberation, echo..
It returned with darkness to my soul.
I waited and waited in the gloom,
Nobody came.

Now it's retreating!
The icicles on the window sill melt,
Down it reaches to my cracked feet
Which saw a long road bare.
Forlorn in the silence,
I walk forward dreaming the spring beyond! ! ! !

In the heart it froze as a heavy stone. In my loneliness, I cried, Where are you? - The lucid flow of your writing is absolutely amazing..! A very commendable piece of work..!
Loneliness! In the gloom. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Climate really affects our moods.... In sunny weather, we feel bright and sprightly, but in chilly, dull weather and during rainy season, one feels all the more lonely! However in the blasts of winter, what gives us hope are the thoughts about the arrival of a spring! Fine write! Thanks for sharing!
