Invisible

To you, I’m invisible
Intangible, indiscernible
That’s something you would say
I’ve dropped to my knees
And although I am covered with dirt I will apologize
for holding on so long

Hope is the only blanket that ever kept me warm at night
But even blankets tear and fray
And my heart keeps going
Hanging on to every moment
Every wish
Every dream and fantasy that I have for you
But my heart’s growing tired
And the ropes are coming loose
And every day that I grow older
I somehow grow more fond of you

But don’t you worry; I’ll soon be out of your hair
Because I can’t shake this feeling of false hope
out of mine

And don’t you worry
I’ll never cease to be invisible
