Irritate
AH ( / England)

Irritate

Stomach clenched in angry knot
resentment fills each and every thought
a peaceful haven I do seek
to hide away from intensive heat
my head is cluttered with pulsating noise
each day filled with endless toil
and disarray, till frustration breaks
then anger my mood does take
but like a child on playground swing
tranquility will soon begin
to cool the air around my heart
from fractious thoughts I shall depart

Well done, Ms. Harris!

This is really good, Amanda! I enjoyed both the clever rhyme and the unfolding descriptions of this irritable state.. a few of which are not unfamiliar to myself! ! I thought maybe the use of 'does' in line 8 was a touch melodramatic.. even for such an irate narration... but thats just my opinion... I enjoyed, thanks!
