It Made Me Think Of You

I got stung by a bee today
the pain made me think of you
I dug at the pointed barb embedded in my flesh
It made me think of you

The tiny creature lay dead at my feet
Looking up at me to view my pain
Having given it's very existence to hurt me
It made me think of you

I dug deep to remove the poisoned barb
The flesh red and swollen
I cursed and danced about
To crush that tiny creature that had injured me so badly
It made me think of you

another one for Bukowski

Not a fan of free verse Michael but it read powerully. Good imagery.
