A Red, Red Rose

A Red, Red Rose

Poem By Robert Burns

It's not enough
to last us through,
As weathered hearts
have beaten through.

Its' not enough
when we both say,
Our love will last
endless a day.

It's not enough
for you to cry,
To change my mind,
this is goodbye.

It's not enough.

The central image 'O my Luve's like a red, red rose' is successful enough, while in the rest of the poem he strains to convince her (and himself) how much he loves her. That's how I read the poem today.
Though this poem is little deviated from its form, yet it's a beautiful composition... fascinating romantic spell that attempts to unfold love song emanating from the inner recess of the poet's heart.. appreciate! ed!
That's a prime poem, Robert Burns is priming.
Love it *sigh* had me in tears
How Beautiful! Real Love Poetry! ! !
