It Took You'Re Life

Poem By DEBORAH MAPLES

It's been a month since you've been gone
And the war is still going on.
You're life was taken so suddenly
By a bomb you failed to see.
It took your life that lonely night
Now, you've gone to see the light.

Oh, my soldier boy I was true to you
Now you're gone and I'm so blue.
Oh, my little soldier boy how I loved you so
You we're my inspiration one I'll always know.
It took your life that lonely night
Now, you've gone to see the light.

Now, they've laid you down to rest
And placed my heart upon your chest.
I thank the lord from above
The time I had with you to love.
You're life was taken that lonely night
Now, you've gone to see the light.

A very sad sweet poem. I hate that our young men have to fight. My son is training for special forces and will be sent soon. I just lost my mother and know great pain comes with death. And like you said he is with god now and no one can hurt him anymore. I'm so so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and you write beautifully.
