Just A Memory

One day I will wake up in the morning

But never lay in bed at night warm, under my cosy bed sheets that cover my blood flowing body

What if that night I lay in the coldest bed one that only the dead are familiar with and it makes my heart freeze instead

On day you will miss me as you watch over my corpse and weep

While I lay in the deepest sleep

You see

I'm not afraid of dying.

I'm not of afraid of the unknown

Because maybe I know

Just where I'll go

But what if heaven is a lie what if it was a tale that I was told just so I don't cry when you die

What if he'll is really cold, and the devil doesn't lie.

What if our lives just pause for a while and we never really die

See I'm a God fearing Christian by day and sinner at night

Like the absence of the sun sets the candles of hell within me alight

One day I will be just a memory, or perhaps an end to someone's misery

My death will be the reason for someone's pain

But either way my voice will never be heard again
