Just A Rock

A single rock
Quietly sits
On the beach
Careless tides
Splash with joy
Playfully leave.
Left alone
It still
Does not grieves

Surrounded by ocean
An island
In it's right
It's core
is never moistened
No wave could
Hold it tight

Not a mountain
To host a herd
Grow some trees
And nest the birds
Just a rock
A little mound
It's lost it's voice
It's past still hounds

sort of beautiful philosophical drop. You weave magic with words. Liked it.
