# Justice Delayed...Justice Denied

Poem By Mamta Agarwal

A nation raped…
Mute, stunned, indignant
World watched, ashamed…

Cruelty, hate, evil
(Put to shame, even devil)
Drives the mentally ill…

Justice delayed
While we, a messiah await
Or resigned to fate…

Does God Wait
For good sense to prevail…
And love conquers hate…

Justice denied
Shocked, aggrieved wail…
While accused hide…

Who does one blame?
Deeply reflect,
And introspect….

My friend Sathyanarayana ji is a practising lawyer himself! He too will agree that in our country 'justice' is for only those who can afford it, since the courts keep draging each case to bleed those who seek justice! Judiciary requires a revamp! ! 10! - Raj Nandy

Like a child today I play make believe,

Telling myself, while arranging, not to grieve…

Eons of its icy silence

# Conspicuous By Its Absence

While tending to the garden one balmy November,
Helping my mother wash the leaves of the dust,
And gently cut off the dead branches and flowers,
Spraying the ones still seeming bright and robust…
