Karma Flower

Bee-stung buds on separate stems
exploding like a silk grenade
in a bone china sky

The Karma flower blossoms
into the pink air of spring
open-eyed and volant

Rupturing the bonds
of winter's skin
in melting disrepair

Coming up for air
you someday breathe
the crystal wind

Sleep Karma flower
on a pillow of stalks
and dampened dirt

Clandestine petals
in the cold blankets
of April dim
