Kicking Always Kicking

Stupid red neck hicks,
In the alley of my life,
Blocking all my dreams
Cutting like a knife.

Stupid red neck girls,
Wearing heels on bikes,
Stopping to look at weddings,
A menagerie in white.

Detached and oh so twisted,
Forgiving all the world,
Living in the middle,
On the fringe of the swirl.

I can forget all the people,
Their faces and their hate,
Forget that I’m just like them
Always kicking fate.

Stupid red neck dreams,
With no God in their soul,
Kicking love and life,
Watching us grow old.

Once upon a time,
Once upon a year.
Kicking always kicking,
We all will disappear.
