Writing Poetry In The Rain

Shards of rain and sleet dost fall
Like glass upon my face,
As I walk slowly down the road,
For fast, would be a race.
The rain dost permeate my coat,
My hat and trousers too,
As words for this poem come to mind,
As poems for me often do.
Some lines do form with rhymes in place,
Others take thinking and time,
To make a verse make sense at first,
And make alternate lines rhyme.
