KML (April 3,1910 / Sacramento, CA)

i bow and obey,
i’m your spiteful servant.
your broken chain of logic binds me tight.
i wouldn’t run, though...
if it’s finished, I have only begun.
your poison needs not be eaten,
only heard, then it takes the blood.
the fever of ruling sets upon me again,
but I won’t strike back,
you’ve said I don’t know how.
maybe this time it’s true.
too much risk,
and it always stays so...
but you take everything,
i say nothing.
so maybe I have nothing to risk.

i don’t know.
