Last Chance At Fame

Standing on the pitcher's mound with dirt from head to toe
The game is on the line right now and adrenaline begins to flow
I hear them cheering strike him out, I hear them scream home run
My father was so proud of me, I ranked out number one
I am the league's mvp the best on any team
For living only fourteen years, I'm living out a dream
It's not my dream to live out but my father is so proud
I'm having trouble concentrating the noise is way to loud
I'm running out of steam right now, I've been digging for a spark
I threw the fastball, BIG MISTAKE, it's up and out the park
I choked on tears, my eyes were wet, my heart fell to the ground
I never pitched a game again, I let my father down
