I'm learning to say thank you.
And I'm learning to say please.
And I'm learning to use Kleenex,
Not my sweater, when I sneeze.

(Learning by Judith Viorst.) **A bit of light verse.
A very witty piece on manners and etiquette, I can still hear my aunt telling me these (in my mind) . Now it is m turn to tell them to kids.
We put a lot of store by table manners- takes a lot of the fun being a kid at of the dining room table away, doesn't it?
Love your humor! Brought a smile to my heart! It's also more fun being a slob sometimes! Eating with your fingers, playing with your food - makes eating easier than with a fork. Can picture my sons at a year old doing all you describe and telling them how good they were. Great poem, brought pictures to my mind! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
