Poem By Denver Fredericks

So I wait for your decision
Knowing this due to history
I have gone in many directions
And all have individual stories
Yet you stem the flow of my life
Should forego all my worries
Cause you control my entire life

All those leads that just end
Like morning mist burnt asunder
Little bobbing sweetly pearls
they all just turn into blunders
stop starts I know by heart
will not succumb and get me under
someone stronger than me controls

I should just give it up really
Cause I have knocked my head
Over and over and have tried it all
Yet no matter what I tried I bled
Someone else pulls my strings
Help me lord help me get ahead
This I pray and now I beg

Now I surrender, at my wits end
What do I have to do for you
Have been down heart and bruised
Now add to that crushed and blue
So now I give you all the reins
Take up the slack make your words true
Be all you promised I beg of you

How does it melt into the distance?
Fleeting does not come close
To truly capture the speed of time
A quantum sprint of the prose

Prove It

Prove it resounds in my head
Okay I love you easiest words
now prove it,
considering I left that doesn’t aide

I Want

I want, the impossible I ruthlessly chase
The dreams the goals the aspirations
Sweating heartache, living regret, and anguish
All to fill the need to have what I want

Waited again today, patiently waited
So many promises and promises of promises
Yet we wait a bit longer a bit more
Just to see someone fulfill their promise

More Than Maybe

You may just be better off without me
Blame is a word that was not intended
Although you have the rights to it
It is justified you don’t have to pretend

Rash Enigma

have this inate desire to acquire knowledge
a need to have questions answered
mysteries revealed mazes leading pledge
but you're an enigma, mind boggling
