Less And Less

Poem By Francis Santaquilani

by betrayal overrun,

like a ramshackle shed

in a field

suffocating in kudzu.

her,

more or less,

less and less,

her general shape now,

in her chair by

her black, rotary phone,

praying,

hands and lips

locked.
