Let Me Be Free

Poem By Taylor McAlister

This is a poem about the cruel way people treat hens:

~The floor is concrete
It is dry and cold
My eyes are dull
With sadness untold

My feathers are few
They are broken and brittle
The cage I am in
Is shrunken and little

I do not know grass
Or what it is to be free
I live in the dark
Won’t someone please save me?

A little girl sees me
She’s starting to cry
The look on her face
Makes me want to die

Such is the life
Of a chicken, you, see
Danger and torment
Until death sets us free~

Sweet Hello

Strolling past,
A fleeting smile.
A touch of the hand,
Eyes to beguile.

The King Of Pop

sometimes things happen for a reason.
some reasons are a crime.
some people never make it
some have always shined.

I Saw Her

I saw her,
The pretty girl by the lake
I saw her
The brown hair, the deep eyes
