When Intimacy Changes Into Indifference

Poem By Jasbir Chatterjee

for once i listen to earth
letting him speak as we
journey across india
a feeling surging like from
the primordial corner of earh,
the heart of earth, its centre
making one realise every inch of land
has its own story to tell even if it is
just to let you know how it is feeling,
how it cannot help having to communicate with you
as you cross the land for the first time
