“J’ai perdu ma force et ma vie, ”
is a song that was written by Liszt.
Without life force we’re forced not to be
when to be is to hardly exist.
Designed to be helpless at birth,
in old age becoming decrepit,
we shrink in all ways except girth,
all credits reversing to debit.
At death we’re instructed to rage,
why not at the Lord’s engineering,
obsolescence brought on by old age,
unlike babyhood hardly endearing?
If we were all cars they would force
a recall but since God is the Lord
He’s untouchable, being the source
of the life that our force can’t afford.
