Life Is Like A Prison

Poem By Heather Noble

Life is like a prison,
Oh God let me out.
No one to listen,
To hear when you shout,
Climb the walls of insanity,
Ride the waves of despair,
If you fall, it doesn't matter,
There's no one to care,
Used to wish a window,
To see bird tres, under sky,
But your better without one,
Stops you from aimed to high,
Watchong freedow is painful,
For these locked away,
Seeing joy, love, and happiness
Another price that you pay,
Strong is good, weak is bad,
Be is false, Be it true,
Your mind makes the choice.
And enforces it too,
Cell walls built by society.
With rules to adhere,
If you breach the acceptable,
You have to be aware,
Hide the pain carry on,
Routine is the key,
Don't let on that tour not,
What your pending to be,
Lock it all up inside you.
How badly that seems,
Look out for that one day,
When it all just explodes,
Leaving naughty but a shell,
Base functionally too,
But killing all else,
That was uniquely you,
So how do you grow?
What a time bomb inside?
Or how to defuse it,
Without destroying its ride?

You Can't

Heather - It is wonderful that you can express your feelings so well! You musn't worry so much about 'fitting in' but instead enjoy your special gifts and continue to share them with others. Then the world will realize they need to 'fit in' with you. Blessings to you - Cheryl
