Life's Melody

Poem By Petal A. Beebe

Life is a song,
The orchestra plays
Awaiting the dancer
To come along.

It's theme plays tragedy
Happiness and sorrow
Tears of despair
Laughter of joy a melody
Of another tomorrow

A strain of yesterday
Not forgotten, the answer
Hides within it's final
Inevitable crescendo, hush
Play now quietly, the next dancer
Will be coming along

Tiny fingers, curled
Like petals, fragile
