Poem By Daniel Bates
The undulations of life find me sitting here,
Like hills in the peaks, rolling on until the end.
For now I'm alone, sad and full of un-cheer,
But, a light, my thoughts offer to lend
For I know better times are always near.
A friend I find in poems and ponder
Deep dark thoughts neatly placed to one side,
I know, as it is through willing that is wonder
And this life, a roller coaster of a ride
That dips and dives and casts mists asunder
So enjoy the moments of deep torment
Because it's in experience that greatness is built
And know, deep down, through willings lament
That strength and power, filled to the hilt
Will tide me for life's next great event.
