Poem By Jordan Jacobs

The light fades to darkness
As I recede into the shadows

There to live. There to die

With no one who cares
No one to hear my cries

No one to feel my pains
No one to listen

There to live, there to die

With out love of happiness
Only sadness and sorrow

Remain in my heart

The two parts of me clash within
The raging was between light and darkness

The light dwindling behind the shadows
And the darkness playing at my soul

Swirling around my memories
Of pain and sorrow

That swallow forth all the light that remains inside
So that shadows is all that remains in my soul

Reminding me of the pain I endured
Numbing me to all that is to come

To hear no longer to live
Only to die

Behind A Smile

Alone I cry, hiding it behind a laugh
Alone I remorse, hiding it behind a smile

My loneliness so deep it cuts into my soul

Mourning Mist

The shadow emerging from the morning mist
Raises inside of me a storm
Of anger and sadness
That swirls in me like a tornado

My Life

My life the Storm
The harsh cold
The unforgiving wind
The thunder that wakes me at night

The light fades to darkness
As I recede into the shadows

I sit there remembering…….

The Real Me

Hidden inside of me is
A little boy curled in a ball
Hiding it behind a laugh
