Like Snow

Movements create new landscapes
For the time being
Lasting long enough to relate to the novelty
Of the new being
Whose essence must be garnered within a moment
That will last no longer

No longer than the lifetime it takes to really know
If the bond will be stronger or loosen through familiarity
Or if disparity will create an eternally cold atmosphere

That one lives in fear of

Like snow; in time, relations melt
And we know that there will be nothing
Outside of these walls where we will acquaint with others
Like snow, falls, meeting the ground, we will melt away
