Poem By Shirley Campbell Horton

Can you hear the children cry?
Why you ask, oh why?
Hunger, bruises, suffering from land
to land
Abuse, wars, fear -
No one to extend a hand
Tears, broken hearts and broken bones
Do you care enough to let them know
they are not all alone
Do you pray that man's cruelty
to man will cease
O has the world grown callous
to the voices for peace
Can you hear the children cry?
Need you ask why, oh why.

Gethsamne

Have you ever walked with Him to Gethsamne?
have you ever felt the loneliness there?
Have you called "Abba Father," help me!
For Father I'm really scared -

Life

Time, books, people...
Some rare as a glass of aged wine
Many highly spiced with memories
Years, months, weeks
