Little Brown-Haired Girl

Poem By Uriah Hamilton

I’m a wayward flower
Who has abandoned
His safe garden
To wander down
The concrete streets
Of the city.

When I find
The girl I love,
I will place myself
In the flower vase
Of her heart.

I believe
In the enchanted perfume
Of the feminine,
I’m seeking to embrace
A woman’s soul
In the pink afternoon.

Everything about me
Is a serenade
On a summery day
With a gentle breeze blowing
Beneath a soft shade.

I will call
A little brown-haired girl
An amazing goddess
As a thousand bouquets
Laugh and whisper her name.
