Little Girl

There's a little girl screaming for help
she causes all my pain
her screams are dog whistle silence
her pleas are all in vain
she's scratching my insides
clawing for her way out
she wants to be free
she wants to roam about
all those years
I kept her sedated
Her death
I celebrated
now she's alive
throwing a temper tantrum
that only gets worse
when I drown her with rum
she's the one with the answers
the only one with clues
to my vicious past
of which I cannot lose
she voices the thoughts
swimming in my head
she wants to get out
she wants me dead
trying to make life agony
trying to give me strife
she's lived this all ready
and wants back her life
she died once
when she was three
that wasn't her
because she is me
