Living Again

Since your death
my days have been longer
and yet non-existent.
I hardly ever dream anymore.
There is no breaking point
between sleep and wakefulness;
they melt into each other.
I finally understand
life cannot be lived in black and white;
I finally understand grey.
Since the day you left my side
I have been learning how to live again
because on that day
you weren't the only one who died.
