Without your smile,
But no longer shall it be,
A Moon that shines for me,

A fine poem, Sandra. The trope is good and the last two lines are clinchers.

Sandra, you bring out the face of the moon. It is a lonely and soulful presence. Thank you for your comments on my poem.

The Moon is cold, So I am told, And winter's here for me, When love is gone, There is no Sun, The Moon is all I see.... Beautiful...Sun stands for Love.

Oh lonely Moon, my lonely Moon, Poor orphan in the sky, Such love poem like this I haven't read ever anywhere. The love story of the sun and the moon are profoundly expressed. The moon can't shine without sun is the fact that we all knew but you have painted the fact in such a way that when one will read think that a lonely love awaits for his lover from long time. You personified the moon as girl who is still and has no feelings to express.Great work.

A Moon that shines for me, Gone are the days, When you'd just stay, So close, smiling at me. Moon is there but it does not feel the same confidant of my love, no more. Friend of sleepless nights no more.

The moon... a beloved theme in times of longing. I have never heard it quite like this though. Unto my favourites.
