Losers Never Win

Poem By Brian (Yaotzu) Bungcayao

Losers never win,
dim lit existence
showing up at heavens door
banging daily yelling 'let me in',
with hopes wearing thin
like hair riped out at the root
zen position, astral projection
trying to fly the coup.

But I'm grounded
in fact i feel its more like I'm sinking
mind begins thinking
i have a will to start inking,
but I have nothing to leave behind
empty pages on the mind
will still searching for that scribble & blip
on hospital monitors reading only flat lines

Where has the quiet gone?
Aching for the mouths of bickering beast to swallow their own tongs.
Envisioning the flames of crashing cars from drivers with no respect to the human foot.

Lay With You

As I lay here
Will you lay with me.
Nonsexual embracing of shadowed walls
blocking out the light of day unappreciated

Love Letter 2003

I tried to write a poem for you tonight
To encapsulate the feelings of joy
Elevated to heavens eyes
Gazing into a windowsill

They called her china doll
I called her for anther round

Her eyes rolled to the cat calls

Whatever Happened To The Slow Dance?

Whatever happened to the slow dance
Two souls weaving to the music
Bodies clinched to a slow jam
Mam, may I have this dance
