Lost In A Gentle Face
Poem By Augustus Hsfel
So little time, yet so much to do;
I hear the clock chime and see the sun rise anew.
This world is such an ugly place,
But in time you see a gentle face.
A face that shatters your minds peace,
A snare form which there’s no release.
You will dream of her every night and every day,
And your dreams will send you astray.
I have let her insidious beauty seduce me
And from this prison I don’t want to be free.
I stand; time does not
The world slips my hand, while I am trapped in thought.
