Lost Pebble

Poem By sophie sak

Lost but unafraid
I question where my steps will take me

Will I discover one day that I have a steady current as a calm river
That flows into the open sea?
Or will I find myself as a pebble tumbling in the fast moving currents,
Only to crash into jagged rocks and starting over as grains of sand?

I can only imagine where life will take me
I will tumble through dark corners not knowing when I'll find a way into the light,
But I must always remember
to look to the skies and realize that my mind will light up my own path
and the stars that I leave behind each step will be a symbol of what I accomplish
My life is my canvas,
I choose the colors that will be painted on to it,
I choose the picture I want to see in my end result,
And if I am that pebble,
I will paint myself as a sturdy rock over looking the wide open sea
Underneath the moonlight with many stars shrouding over me

Light And Dark

I have thought about you often
in the depths of my heart I miss you

I call to you secretly knowing I will never recieve a response
