Love And Laughter

The sky is blue, I know that's true;
I want no more madness, no more sadness.
I want to be here, there and everywhere,
celebrating love and laughter,
and singing on the morning after.

I don't need to be in the Hall of Fame,
nor do I want to be put to shame
I'm tired of spiritual warfare
with people who just don't care.
I want more love and laughter
and singing on the morning after.

I'm looking for a fighting chance
to be in a holy land, a land of helping hands.
I want people to hear my voice -
I have no choice, I want to rejoice.
I'm not joking when I say I've been broken;
I'm looking for love and laughter,
and singing on the morning after.

I want a life like a home-cooked meal,
keeping things simple, keeping things real.
I want to live in a home, sweet home,
soft and sweet like a honeycomb.
I want to keep things simple, keep it cool,
remembering what I learned in Sunday school.
I want to live with love and laughter,
and singing on the morning after.

Let go, let God, and be blessed.
