Love At First Sight

I met you
only once
at twighlight
and
many
many times before
and got to know you
through
rough and dumb conversation
and
quick
love blooming
from the
ebon air
your dark garments
ruffling versus
my unveiled facade
I saw
your eyes
like halos at
that first exchange
gleam like the sheen
of the steely moon
and by night
highlighted
by that scintilla of light
set down by
clouds and stars
